How returns, refunds, and warranty work for Lucyd orders placed on Amazon.
If your Lucyd glasses came from Amazon, here’s everything you need to know.
Returns and refunds
Amazon holds your payment — not Lucyd. So refunds are processed by Amazon, not by us.
Inside Amazon’s return window (30 days):
- Go to Your Orders on Amazon.
- Find your Lucyd order and click Return or replace items.
- Follow Amazon’s instructions to print a return label and ship the item back.
- Amazon issues the refund automatically once they receive it.
Outside Amazon’s 30-day window: Amazon won’t process a return, but Lucyd’s 1-year warranty still covers manufacturing defects. Contact us — see “Warranty replacement” below.
Warranty replacement (manufacturing defects)
Our 1-year warranty applies to every Lucyd unit, including ones bought on Amazon. If you have a defective unit:
- Contact us with:
- Your Amazon order number (
111-XXXXXXX-XXXXXXX) - Screenshot of the original order receipt
- A short video showing the defect
- Your full name, shipping address, phone number
- Your Amazon order number (
- We review and, if eligible, ship a replacement direct from our Miami warehouse — usually within 1-2 business days of approval.
This works whether or not you’re inside Amazon’s return window. Past 30 days, Amazon can’t help with returns, but we can still help with warranty.
Hybrid order — frame on Amazon, lenses from Lucyd
If you bought the frame on Amazon but Lucyd’s lab cut the prescription lenses for you, the Rx is Lucyd’s responsibility, not Amazon’s. Contact us directly with both order references.
What’s NOT covered
- User damage — drops, water damage, sat-on frames. Standard warranty doesn’t cover this. We can offer a 50% discount on a replacement or, if you’re within 30 days of purchase, Lucyd Pro Insurance for $99 (covers user damage + extends warranty to 24 months).
- Refunds from Lucyd — refunds for Amazon purchases come from Amazon, not us.
A-to-Z claims
If you’ve filed an A-to-Z claim with Amazon on your Lucyd order, please give us a chance to make it right first. Contact us with your order number and we’ll work with you and Amazon to resolve.
